Anthony Agtarap

Anthony is a husband, father, strength & conditioning specialist, and an educator who is passionate about empowering people to live a pain-free, strong life full of vitality and constant movement. He is also the founder of Engineered Bodies Strength & Conditioning in Port Moody. He’s taught multiple professional development days for the PE teachers of SD-43 and has presented at the Physical Education Professional Development Conference at Douglas College on creating and implementing a movement quality based PE curriculum.

Geoff Bagshaw

He’s starred in 10 fitness DVDs and can also be seen regularly on television and in magazines as a featured fitness expert. Geoff is a two-time winner of the canfitpro Canadian Fitness Presenter of the Year award (2004, 2009).

Robin Ball

Robin is a personal trainer, fitness instructor and Fitness Operations Manager for New Edge Fitness. Born and raised in Toronto, Robin moved to Vancouver in 2006 for university and later discovered a passion for fitness that continues to flourish. Robin’s classes and sessions concentrate on functional training to help build a foundation for life's movements. With a background in athletic training, she's extremely versatile and has worked with everyone from rehab clients to performance athletes. She will inspire you to appreciate and embrace everything you do in life.

Dr. Susan Biali, PhD, BSc

A respected wellness expert and life coach, Dr. Biali went from her own clinical depression to providing tools to create a healthy lifestyle to thousands of others. She's received numerous personal and academic awards and contributed to many TV shows, magazines, and newspapers. Recently recognized by American Express as a 'real life potentialist,' Dr. Biali is the author of "Live a Life You Love: 7 Steps to a Healthier, Happier, More Passionate You."


Chad Benson

The director of fitness education for Steve Nash Fitness Clubs, Chad has been a strength and conditioning consultant for the National Sailing Team, the Vancouver Canucks, the BC Lions, Twist Conditioning, and the National Women’s Basketball team. He specializes in fascial mobility therapies, functional performance, preventive injury, and movement assessment. Chad is a contributor to the canfitpro PTS certification and holds active certifications in an exceptionally wide range of training and fitness methods.

Katrina Cochrane

Over the past 20 years Katrina has worked nationally throughout Australia and internationally with elite athletes, sports teams and special populations. As the owner and director of Sports Training Solutions, she specializes in small group training, athletic performance and special populations. Katrina is a popular international presenter who continually educates and inspires health and fitness professionals around the world with new and innovative training concepts and ideas. Katrina is also the Regional Master Coach with the Australian Institute of Fitness where she has influenced hundreds of upcoming personal trainers and group exercise instructors.

Andrea Gansner

Dr. Andrea Gansner is a naturopathic physician and well-known lecturer on health and wellness topics. She has appeared on radio and at live events such as the Wellness Show. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of British Columbia prior to undertaking the post-graduate naturopathic medical program at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine. Daniela Goode

Daniela is a Kinesiologist and Wellness Educator whose passion lies in using movement to foster vibrant health. She has worked throughout Canada, the USA and Europe, including as medical staff for the Jamaican National Basketball Team. As a canfitpro PRO TRAINER, Program Director for PowerPL3Y and Co-Director of Navina Thai Yoga Therapy School, Daniela creates powerful learning opportunities by incorporating key principles of Fitness Training, Yoga Therapy, and Functional Rehabilitation.

Alicia Hill-Marceau

Alicia has recently become a full-time writer after working for fourteen years as a child care provider. Alicia has written one book on her journey through weight loss surgery and co-written another on choosing success and overcoming adversity. Alicia still learns something new almost daily about herself, her marriage, or her family. She calls herself a student of life. Alicia loves using what she has learned to inspire others. In the future, Alicia sees herself as having written many more books, delivering talks to many, and one day sitting with Oprah under her oak tree on Super Soul Sunday.

Behnad is the founder of Fit To Train Human Performance Systems Inc. He is a lead instructor for the Functional Movement Screen and Selective Functional Movement Assessment courses. Behnad graduated with a Bachelor of Human Kinetics, a Master of Physical Therapy, and a degree in Osteopathy. He is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, has a graduate certificate in Orthopedic Manual Therapy, certified through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute, and trained in Intramuscular Stimulation.

Jason Karp

Dr. Jason Karp is one of the foremost running experts in America, 2011 IDEA Personal Trainer of the Year, 2014 recipient of the President's Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition Community Leadership award, and creator of the Revo2lution Running™ certification. Tara Lowry

After nearly 20 years in the fitness industry, Tara has landed in the arena of corporate wellness working for BC's largest and oldest corporate fitness and wellness company. Working in the area of corporate fitness creates significantly different objectives from public or private facilities and has helped Tara appreciate the broader focus on wellness, health and programming and the impact that it can create outside of fitness center walls. As both Personal Training Manager and manager of the fitness center for one of BC's top employers, Tara uses her enthusiasm and sense of humour to create fun, challenging and competitive fitness "experiences" towards the mandate of creating happier, healthy, more productive employees.

Daryl Marceau

Daryl is a continual student when it comes to weight loss and health. On his path he has come to know a lot about who he is and what he has to share with others. As a presenter he has been honoured to be involved in events across North America. He is a Master Pro for POUND® Rockout. Workout. and a Master Trainer for BOSU®. Ira holds a black sash in kickboxing but he is most proud of being a husband and a father to four kids.

Teri Mosey

Teri Mosey, PhD, has over 20 years’ experience as a consultant, educator, exercise physiologist, and natural chef. Her knowledge and expertise has developed over the years to include studies of Eastern and Western philosophies, energy medicine, and culinary exploration. She presents alternative perspectives of biochemistry, human physiology, and nutrition by incorporating the principles of holistic living into her work; helping others discover their personal path to wellness.

Christa Norgren, 200 RYT

Active in yoga since 2004, Christa holds certifications in group fitness and weight training along with Fusion Fitness and Athlete’s Performance Training. A master trainer for YogaFit Canada, she’s been teaching YogaFit style classes at the YMCA of Greater Vancouver, the Richmond Olympic Oval, and other fitness clubs since 2005.

Kevin Nowottnick

Kevin has worked in the fitness industry for 28 years and has a degree in Kinesiology. He is a certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor, triathlon coach, and martial arts instructor. Kevin has been with FKCI for 7 years and is a master trainer for 4 of their certifications. He is a PRO TRAINER for PTS, FIS, HWL and CPR&AED. His industry specific management and coordinator experience spans 20 years. He is currently the Fitness Coordinator for the City of Delta. Kevin is a triathlete, Ironman veteran and obstacle racer. He is a Tae Kwon Do black belt, Jeet Kune Do and Kickboxing instructor and newly devout practitioner of Gracie Jiujitsu and Krav Maga.

Karine Opasinski

A Zumba education specialist (ZES) in French, English, and Spanish, Karine has 28 years of dance experience and 18 years in the fitness industry. As a member of “La Troupe des Ballets Modernes du Québec” and New Age Nation, she participated in various TV shows, musicals, and videos, as well as Janet Jackson’s 1814 promotional tour. Always smiling, dynamic, and passionate, Karine has been a cheerleader for both the Montreal Roadrunners and the Alouettes.

Rhona Parsons

As a student of the Mind, Body & Spirit theory, Rhona loves guiding others to live their best life. Rhona is a highly accomplished presenter, yoga and fitness instructor and has been teaching programs for over 20 years. As a Group Ex Coordinator for Goodlife Fitness, she helped open a local club on Nov 5, 2005. She travels throughout the province of BC teaching workshops and mentoring instructors.

Presently, she is the Food Coach's COACH and the creator of the Sweet Freedom Summit – an event focused on bringing an end to sugar addiction. Doris Thews

Doris has been a professional in the fitness industry for over 30 years. She started as a college athlete and then a divisional director for a large US health club chain. Doris now owns her own Fitness consulting business, Team Thews. Doris is the Program Director for Indo-Row and ShockWave, Senior Master Trainer and Global Mentor for Schwinn, International Development Master Trainer team member for BOSU, Power Music Advisory Board Member and Lead RYKA Fit-Pro Ambassador.

Matt Truscott

Matt has presented in over 20 countries on international schedules on the subjects of performance (mental and physical), strength training, and injury prevention, while also writing content/curriculum for multiple brands. In 2016, Matt launched his own strength and conditioning program, Totem, which is currently being run out of the Edge Performance Center in ClubSport San Jose. Amanda Vogel

Amanda is a canfitpro and GoodLife instructor, and owns ActiveVoice.ca, a writing, editing, and consulting service for the fitness industry. She’s a Lolë activewear ambassador and social media consultant for fitness brands and public figures, including BOSU® and Amy Dixon Fitness. In addition to being the co-author of “Baby Boot Camp: The New Mom’s 9-Minute Fitness Solution,” Amanda writes for popular women’s magazines, including Oxygen, Best Health, Women’s Health, and SELF.

Kim Vopni

Kim Vopni is the author of Prepare To Push and uses her certifications in Personal Training, Pre/Postnatal Fitness and Pfilates (pelvic floor pilates), along with her training as a Postpartum Doula to help women get through birth in one piece. She is known as The Fitness Doula and loves sharing her preventative and restorative exercise strategies with other fitness professionals who work with pregnant women and new moms.
